They do seem to like it don't they? I've never tasted it to be honest so can't give an opinion on it.

I tried it a couple of times, but it's too bitter. Capt. Morgan and Coke for me.

The Fernet Branca they bottle here has a slightly different taste from the Italian original.
If there is no water available I might have a small drink of the dreadful stuff.
Both are not intended for sensible people from the UK and the USA.....

I suspected as such hence why I've never been desperate to try it. I'll stick to the Seagram's.

I did try it once, and can still bring back that awful memory. Cough medicine concocted by a masochist.

I had never drank the stuff in Italy, so I can't compare. My borther in law pretty much drink just that or sodas. On the table, sometimes there is some cheap Malbec that you regret drinking before dinner is over, so I do drink local Malbec. I don't find it particularly tasty and I'd trade it with a nice beer without flinching. However, "nice beer" isn't usually available at family gathering, so it is pretty much my only choice. During the World Cup, I got to drink 7. then I lost count but I am proud to say I found my way home anyway. Not my fondest memory, though!
