I'm not sure the census can be trusted, especially since it comes from INDEC, which provides fantasy statistics.

I think it is very likely that the census results have been manipulated to further hinder elections - number of voters vs. actual votes does play a role in the results, and allows to add fake vote(r)s, not to mention the central money being assigned to the various towns and provinces based on their population size.

Where does Chilvicoy stand politically, UK Man ?

We went to visit some distant cousins of my husband near Areco a few months ago. To me, the town was a spit in the dirt, but when I asked about the population size, I was told it had twice the population of the town where I grew up in Italy, which had a far larger urbanized area. I am wondering if the people here are all living in the countryside, hidden in the bush with 5 children each, or if some numbers are skewed.

My husband's relatives were also living a modest life, like 50 years ago in Italy, and were very happy with the subsides of the Province. They love peronism and feel safe as long as the malignant attempts of the opposition/foreign capitalism powers are kept at a bay.

I wonder if the people in Chaco feel the same toward their Governor's dynasty.

In the UK gerrymandering is done by the Boundary Commission which moves constituency borders to even up their sizes. Funny how this often benefits the political party currently in power. In the USA well, I bet Rice can tell a few stories.
