In a BBC interview today, Boris Johnson mentions that, just before starting the aggressions against Ukraine last year, Putin took the time to threaten him with a missile attack, for his support of Ukraine. Although he later conceded that Putin could have just been joking, I couldn’t help wondering why Johnson felt compelled to put himself in the middle of the story, even as Ukrainian citizens are actually being brutally murdered every day.
