This election spot from Alberto is unbelievable. It has to be a joke?

Cristina Kirchner has changed her mind, as expected. She will run for president, so God help us all if she wins.

A totally unexpected and disinterested move, should we say! She is really committed to her country.

Macri has decided not to stand in the October elections, leaving the field wide open for the opposition to choose a presidential candidate. But I don't see one emerging who has that certain x-factor. Bullrich, Larreta...?

However, Milei was being seduced by Juntos Por El Cambio (JxC), but wisely declined their kind offer and deciding to run for president himself.

He's totally off the wall, Trump style, but has an enormous following from the younger generation who are sick and tired of the same old bullshit. Sound familiar?

I always thought he was too 'normal' for the job. He had no chance to sort this country's problems out. Best left to those who are daft enough to do it.

As long as “normal” candidates don’t want the job, UK Man , what chance is there that anyone will care to sort out the country’s problems?

Well, it’s as old as Facebook, if not civilization.

AAP’s fact check cries false. Still, it’s humorous, if not actually out of Cicero’s collection of pithy quotes.

Marcus Cicero wrote many pithy quotes - but not the ones in this meme - Australian Associated Press
Roman orator, philosopher and politician Cicero has been credited with a work of "amazing wisdom" being shared on social media.

Yeah, I wasn't there. But damn if it doesn't ring true. But hea , it's the age of alternative facts. Thank you Orwell! I wrote a check to the DNC(political party) once in the 1980's, like the chronic smartass I am. .57 cents, the other time I wrote them back and asked them to donate me some dough. :whacky:

My husband adores him. I don't personally like him as a politician but this country needs a polarizing figure to be shaken off from the current state of affairs. Macri was a white dot on a white wall. Bullrich is a former montonera and Peronist, too much of a change of political ideas. It seems she is just filling an acting vacancy.

Larreta is also not a polarizing figure and here in CABA he has as many detractors among non-peronists as he does among peronists.

Milei also seems to be the only one who has economic ideas that are modern and beyond the "broken tune" that Argentina has been playing for the last 50 decades. At least he has the skills and knowledge to really revolutionize Argentina's economy. I'd love for him to have a chance to as I believe that if people see the benefit of economic freedom (for individuals), they won't vote to return back to where we are.

The current government has a dollar Malbec in the talks... most of their electorate do not even know what a dollar is worth. Meanwhile, they make profits off of it and steal shamelessly, manipulate data, lie to the people etc.

This sits well with their electorate as they are barely literate and with no access to foreign media.

Thank you. Clarification helps. Unfortunately we have a large and growing class of semi literate citizens. They don't read, the get their worldview from MSM, opinion is fact, with no critical thinking. ADHD is growing amongst the younger generations. I consider myself educated and well read and I don't have a firm grasp on liquidity or derivatives, but the ARS peso holy moly. IMF, BIS.....acronyms flying out a monkeys butt. I digress. :beatdeadhorse:

Not a wig, but I suspect his barber went to the same school as Donald Trump's barber...
