The lad from Bradford did good.
I appreciate his art much more now that I'm a wee bit older, especially his use of colours and how he paints water.

Great article and website. Thanks.
But what a great 80.
Thanks Splinter for including the URL regarding the CNN article on David Hockney at 80.
Enjoyed reading this piece; and looking at some of his paintings.
I am not an expert on art (paintings) by any stretch of the imagination; however there are certain types of paintings (and the artists who have
through the years painted some excellent pieces) which catch my interest!
One of my favorites is from a Russian Painter I discovered while on my first Cruise in 2004.
If I can fine the photos in my files I will include one of his paintings here (and his name of course - I don't want to say who it is now because I
will probably misspell his name!).
UPDATE:
The Russian Painter I mentioned above is: Medvedev. [As of 2007 he was living in the United States.]
There are several of his works I really like, but here is one of them: "Window On Sanos"
