Russian women rushing to Argentina to give birth

  • Because the Argentine government hasn't overly criticised or imposed sanctions on Russia for its illegal invasion of Ukraine, Russians are welcomed here with open arms. So much so that Russian women are coming here to give birth which helps to expedite citizenship.

In fact Russians don't need a visa to enter the country.

Argentina - always swimming against the tide.

Recalling Argentina’s neutrality in WWII, I’m thinking that history does repeat itself.

Argentina neoutrality in WWII is a controversial issue.

Many of the Military were admirers of Germany, because they were educated by the Prussian Style.

However,, this neutralty was supported by Winston Churchill, which was willing to receive corned beef and other edible matters from Argentina, and for this the UK gave ships that were changed its flag by an Argentinean flag to avoid being torpedoed by the Kriegsmarine U Boot. He had strong discussions with Cordell Hull (US secretary of State abount that matter,

In fact, entering in WWII was not a real military help to the allies. Being neutral was more functional.

Many Argentines of english stock were in the Royal Air force since 1939. There are some of them living today (nearly 90 years of age.
