Apple has announced it is going ahead with full encryption of almost everything stored in iCloud. This will make data unreachable, on the positive side, by spies and hackers, and on the negative side, also by law enforcement….
This decision, over the longstanding opposition by law enforcement, means that not only messages but photos and videos stored in the iCloud will be encrypted.
Apple said that this will take effect in the US by December 31.
