    I particularly like sock puppet because it conjures up all sorts of images.

    Yes, I like that one too.

    Went grocery shopping today and paid 75% more for the 28-oz jar of mayonnaise than the 32-oz jar cost in July. So SHRINKFLATION is also on my list of top hits.

    I bought some roofing shingles yesterday at a cost of $50.00 a bundle, last time I bought shingles, they were right at $20.00 a bundle. We only have one lumber yard in town, so you either pay, or travel.

    Related to Shrinkflation, but applied to services rather than products: SKIMPFLATION.

    Example: hotel rates increase while the services and amenities offered are reduced.
