Milei has now said, during a speech at the book fair which incidentally becomes more political every year, that he would abolish the Ministry of Women and he doesn't apologise for having a dick!
Fair enough, so how about a ministry for men?

Would you vote for a guy who jumps about the stage like that?
He's certainly not being ignored any more. People listen to him as can be seen in his economy lesson to these reporters.
Splinter, I love the screen shot of the wig and his handlers, the blonde over his right shoulder says volumes. And I thought norteville's hucksterism was comedic. Hopiom and charlatan quacks up here, best of luck down there, the amazing political scientists Sheldon Wolin pulled no punches describing the American robber barons. And of course the common mans man H.L. Mencken. It is inaccurate to say that I hate everything. I am strongly in favor of common sense, common honesty, and common decency. This makes me forever ineligible for public office.
Good morning Argentinians. Things are moving fast in the global majority. Here's one of the brightest minds in economic theory, enjoy mi compadres. https://www.unz.com/mhudson/ru…-join-the-world-majority/
Although I don’t have time today, to read an 8500 word essay, Gary Kipher , I hope to get to it soon. Thanks for posting it. I certainly am aware of the shift in economic as well as political alliances.
The puppet president, Alberto Fernandez has just announced that he will NOT be standing as candidate for president to the relief of all.
Possibly the worst president this country has ever seen.

Totally useless eejit. He'll be laughing all the way to the bank right enough so won't be bothered one little bit.
It’s a relief to have him out of the way, of course, but that raises the question…??

My money is on CFK (the nightmare scenario) NOT standing for election as president, but that leaves who?
Scioli? Don't make me laugh.
Sir Kissalot?
Massa?
Maximo Kirchner? That would just be a bad dream.
That leaves Dylan, Alberto's collie, who is probably overqualified for the job anyway.
...and apparently, CFK (Kristina Kretina) hasn't spoken publicly since last December. But that's her style because she likes to jump out of a cupboard and yell "I'm back, you morons!"
Interesting discussion here with Doug Casey, well know investmemt guru and sometime Argentino (but mostly Uruguyan)
That was interesting indeed, FScott . Because of this discussion, I am going to pay more attention to the opaque economics of Argentina and China’s investments in the country that grew tremendously during CFK’s regime.
But for the immediate future, I was surprised to hear this investment ‘guru’ say that Milei “just might win. It seems to me it is more likely that he will be a spoiler who will hand victory to CFK. But if he DID win, his ideas could profoundly change Argentina in a very positive way.

It's all very well spouting that it's cheap if you have a fistful of dollars, but not if you earn in pesos, like we do.
It also seems that Mr Casey is what is known as ANCAP, anarchical capitalist, just like Milei. But what do you replace the Central Bank with?
The question should be - how do we make the central bank independent?
A very difficult question, made worse by the IMF loan and the immense new financial obligations Argentina now has to China.
Splinter , I also take exception to Casey’s calling Argentina a “cheap” country, although I see what he’s saying is that it is inexpensive to travel to Argentina, unlike when he came in the 1980’s and it was an “expensive” country. Inartfully expressed, and callous towards people trying hard to make a living in pesos.
Do you think Casey’s ANCAP outlook, shared with Milei’s, affects his optimism about Milei’s possibilities?
There is a great old blues song; "…been down so long, looks like up to me.."
Maybe in the ‘life cycle’ of Argentina, it is due for an up-swing out of this trough.
I hope so.
Who believes her? How would she avoid prison?
I used to visit Venezuela 4/6 times a year in the eighties.
The country was in great shape - I have some tremendous memories of nights out in Caracas .
What happened ?
The right wing parties in power were to busy fighting each other taht they let Chaves come to power believing he wouldnt last . Unfortunately they didnt read the whole book and the country is now controlled by drug tarffickers who support the Head Bus Driver.
Argentina is ina mess and it couldnt happen here.
surely ...
ok maybe ....
ok lets vote for Milei.
Lets not forget that in Venezuela, Maduro has the military, hired thugs and secret police behind him. It's a very different scenario here, although hired thugs abound.
The two major political parties still haven't decided on a presidential candidate as they continue their infighting, but then they could be playing chicken with each other.
Bullrich has thrown her hat in the ring, as has Milei. Both the Fernandez figures have opted out, but I wouldn't put it past Queen Bitch to make a U-turn.
But then there's Massa. He may be the anointed one, as could Kiciloff. It's all to play for, but God help the country if this government stays in power.
