I just read in the Telegraph that his lawyers have appealed the Immigration minister’s ruling and deportation order, and the case will be heard by a federal court on Saturday.
I can’t help wondering if his quarantining has kept him from practicing for the past week?
For him, there’s more at stake than the 2022 tournament: if deported, he would face a 3-year ban from returning to Australia. Good-bye, Australian Open in 2023, 2024, 2025.
