I dont think he will last six months in a US prison.
It will be covered up as an internal problem with another prisoner. But he is on the CIA list of most loved people....
He never was a threat but unfortunately, he published the truth about certain things that US government officials and politicians were doing in several foreign countries.

They lost the first time round but appealed and won.
It will maybe go to the Supreme Court now ...
He's been through hell and back what with being holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy for seven years, then locked up in Belmarsh maximum security prison since 2019 and denied bail due to the US putting in an appeal for his extradition.
It will be a sad day when and if he gets thrown on that plane to the US.

The Swedish rape allegations were always a farce, Assange was booted out of the Ecuadorian embassy following a change of government in Ecuador and some convenient pressure from the US.
But more importantly, Assange exposed a war crime committed by US soldiers (from a helicopter gunship) in Iraq when they murdered twelve people including two Reuters reporters. Nobody has ever been held responsible.
He's been locked up for 50 weeks in Belmarsh prison for a bail violation, the normal punishment for which would be a fine or similar. It's pretty clear that the British government is in cahoots with the US government and is bending over backwards to do its bidding and have Assange extradited.
These and many other reasons surrounding the Assange case are why we should care, not least the freedom of expression and journalism.

In the Assange case it's all down picking through the obfuscation and then deciding. The US wants to place him as public enemy number one and will try him for espionage when he gets off the plane in the US. After all, the bogey man theory is always convenient and national security is a broad brush that covers a multitude of sins, often committed by the powers that be in the first place.

I think it's a case of you either believe him or think he's a bit of an oddball. He's certainly had an unorthodox life.
