In March 2022 it will be three years since I last visited the UK, saw my grandson when he was four months old and we're not getting any younger.

Three years for me since I last went to the UK too, and I am also on Sputnik.
I wish there was a way to get another vaccination. Funny thing is all my family here had vaccines that are approved in the UK. I am the foreigner who needs it more and I get Sputnik.
With new strains and lockdowns, I am increasingly feeling like it will be years before I can visit the UK. Who knows, I may have to say goodbye to my father on a Zoom call.

Sajid Javid, the UK Health Secretary made an announcement today (Saturday) so essentially the information on https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/argentina will probably be out of date until they update it on Monday or Tuesday next week.
Right now, anyone arriving in the UK must have had a PCR test before setting out (today's announcement) and must isolate and take a PCR test within two days of arrival in the UK.
This is where it varies between those fully vaccinated with an approved vaccine and everybody else
Everybody else must do another PCR test after 8 days and if that's negative that leads to their release
If you're vaccinated but your 2-day test comes back positive you have to continue isolating for so many days more and get another test at the end. Of course if you are fully vaccinated and your 2-day test comes back negative you are free to go.
So vaccinated or not one may return to the UK but the chances are of spending quite a lot of time in isolation. Which I suppose is okay if you were intending to make it a long stay but not much use if only planning for a long weekend.
Hence why I'm in no rush to go anywhere. It's just not worth the hassle.

Things keep changing all the time so rather than rely on a message in a forum which may be several days old when you read it, I strongly suggest anybody thinking of returning to the UK should bookmark the uk.gov link in my earlier post and refer to that for the latest information.
