News from Radio France Internale is that the EU intends to require a smartphone universal charger. Apple isn’t happy.

The Apple Lightning cable, i.e a male spade end has always seemed the best connector to me. I know USB-C is also multi directional, but the Lightning connector just seemed to get it right.

I love the lightning connector. Multi-directional and easy to handle. Maybe the EU will pay quadrillions to Apple and make that the universal charger.
