An Argentine wine is now the biggest selling wine in the UK
Sales of TRIVENTO RESERVE , a Malbec made in Mendoza , have reached GBP 72.6 M over the last year.
Best to ignore that Trivento is actually owned by the Chilean winery, Concha y Toro

Funnily enough I inhabit a UK pipe smokers forum...great bunch of guys, from a lorry driver to an Edinburgh based Professor of medicine. There's a ''what are you quaffing'' thread where the professor and quantity surveyor battle it out and 'brag' about their choice of wine. I take the piss by posting about my daily supping of BB vino tinto..199 peos for a Magnum sized bottle!! I admit to loving it. 👍
One thing I noticed was, their choice of wine, if red, is usually always French. However the other day the quantity surveyor was having this Malbec. I'd never heard of it.
Nice label , I suspect its an export only job.
Who wouldn’t appreciate a handmade pizza for dinner?!
Yummy! LOVE raclette. Lucky you!
Don't believe I've ever experienced such a thing.
Ooh, it is wonderful. Melted gruyère on potatoes. Pickles on the side. Sizzling meats.
A great evening, sitting around and leisurely munching slow food.

I remember my sister back in the 60/70's had a fascination for making fondue. Put me off it for years to be honest.
Different from fondue, which is a soupy mixture of melted cheeses thinned with wine, into which chunks of bread are dunked.

Indeed.
The cheese they do here on the parrilla to me is also disgusting. I do't like that stringy rubbery cheese.

Provoleta? Love the stuff.
Yeah that's it....it might be the overpowering taste of the herbs that it comes with.
I agree with Splinter that provoleta is delicious. Even better with ham and tomato. I always wish they were more generous with the herbs, though.
Just not my thing....I want the beef!!
The best milanesas in Buenos Aires are apparently in Castilla, 160kms from the capital. Might be worth a road trip
