The so called PASO elections which are wrongly called primary elections and considered by most people to be a complete waste of time, take place on 12th of September with the actual mid terms being on 14th of November.

This all fits very nicely with Argentines' inflated sense of drama and trying hopelessly to do things different to everyone else, I suppose.

Anyway, the Fernandez twins are busy hoping that Olivosgate will quietly evaporate whilst they massage the figures, hoping to keep devaluation artificially low at least until December or more likely, November. The end result of this mid term is pretty much written already - a slight slap on the wrist for Albert, but everything else will be business as usual afterwards.

In my opinion this election is of the utmost importance. If you do not vote, you give your allegiance to CKF and her gang.

It is high time to stop them.

Perhaps we need a swingometer to see which way the votes go?

But if you don’t vote, you lose your right to complain. Elections are often lost because of the people who didn’t show up, not the people voting against.

I can’t vote either, and that doesn’t stop me from bitching and criticizing the Fernandez&Fernandez High Wire Act.

I should have said that anyone eligible to vote who doesn’t bother, should cork it.

You probably can vote if you check on the electoral roll, which you can find here:

Dónde voto 2021: el padrón electoral para las Elecciones en la Argentina | TN

I just checked, but it appears that foreigners can't vote in the mid-term PASO but can in November which is erroneously described as a general election.

I voted years ago for something or other. I had no idea what it was or who I voted for....I just did what the missus told me to do.

Jorge Macri, the mayor of Vte Lopez phoned me the other night telling me exactly where to vote, so it seems my card is marked!

According to the missus it's only the local council elections I can vote in. Quite frankly, I don't care anyway.

You could always run as local councillor, Señor El Escosés!

If you decide to run as local councilor, I wouldn’t adopt this as my campaign slogan.

How about Make Argentina Great Again?

I disagree entirely with the idea people who do not vote should not complain. At the same time, I think voting is essential and would encourage everybody to do so.

Cinthia Fernandez closes her campaign with a shimmy outside Congress. What's not to like?
