We used the aircon for the first time this year, especially in my den at the top of the house.

The missus had ours on the other night in the bedroom for a while just to make sure it was working okay for when we'll need it.

Just had a sheet on the bed last night which was fine. However if the heat carries on like this it won't be long until we have to use the aircon.

Yesterday's 34c was horrendous. When the missus suggested we go for a healthy walk in the afternoon sun I couldn't believe she was being serious.

These hot days we try to get up and out before the heat. Difficult since I am always slow before the coffee

My missus likes her bed too much for that. ^^ It's the sun I hate so evening is better for us once dusk starts to fall. 31.9c here the now and rising. ;(

35.2c was the max here today. Still 31c as dusk falls so I'm pretty sure the aircon will be getting switched on tonight.

Woke up this morning to the noise of heavy rain on the roof. I thought that can't be right as no rain was forecast so assumed it was the noise of the aircon. Got up went to the bathroom and sure enough the rain was battering off the skylight window. Didn't last that long but long enough to wet the patio floor when I looked outside.

An overcast 23c at the mo with a much fresher feel. Here's hoping it stays that way.

    Wishful thinking.....it's ruddy roasting again.

To top it all off I burnt the tips of my left hand fingers with scolding polenta. :cursing:

Much fresher this morning with a nice cool breeze blowing. It was still 25c at 2am however a change in wind direction has brought the temperature down. A max of only 28c forecast for today which will do me especially after yesterday's hellish heat.

I just rode into the city and back for a tooth extraction (which was not fun) and it's very hot. Okay when you're moving but not when stopped at lights.

    Feels like 31c.

I see it's been pouring down in BA this morning. Dry as a bone here.

This time it's coming from the north east, which is unusual.

Cloudy all morning but we got a very heavy downpour just after 10.00

Since then a bit of drizzle.

    Comfortable temperature though.

    Right now about 22c

We were lucky to miss one around 5pm. I could see it in the distance but fortunately it wasn't heading our way. I then heard thunder 30 minutes ago which just got louder and louder with big flashes of lightning. It poured down for ten minutes then stopped. I see it's now on the way to BA.

35c here earlier before the wind got up bringing the temperature down to the 28c it is now. Storms are on the way for overnight and into tomorrow. We've got a taxi booked for 10am to take us to the apartment in BA. The first 65kms of RN5 aren't motorway and dangerous enough on a clear dry day nevermind a stormy one. If it were up to me I'd be cancelling it but the missus is being stubborn as she wants to take stuff to the apartment. :groan:

I'm still hoping she'll come to her senses. Some big storms during the morning might help change her mind. :/

    I can better that one.

We will be on the ferry to Colonia.

I had to work a few days in Uruguay next week and the boss thought it would be a good idea to have a few days in Colonia beforehand.

Not looking exciting , but if there is no wind the crossing will be fine
