I believe it's a thread when someone asks a question and there's an option to mark the thread as resolved.
It's probably unnecessary, so thanks for pointing it out as I've just been ignoring it up until now.

Oh I had this question on my mind today. Answered here.
What I was looking for was a way to bookmark a post in an attempt to save as “I will answer later” or similar to one of my many “todo” lists that I will probably never complete. For a moment I thought that might be this Unresolved Threads section.
