Although I see it can be bought online at a couple of sites it doesn't seem to be widely available. Lots of good old fashioned pubs still in Partick thankfully. This place seems to be for the 'trendy' young 'uns!!

Indeed....although funnily enough I've been drinking a lot of it recently.
Over £2 a bottle online in the UK against the 28p I paid the other day!!

You're right, of course, but if a lager is "rare" then it must be better, right? That's the way of thinking, or "let's try that Argentine lager". For what it's worth, I think Quilmes cuts a nice middle ground between the very cheap lagers and some of the more expensive ones. If I am just having a few cans I will buy something more expensive that I will enjoy. If I am buying for a family gathering in my house, it is Quilmes.

Not sure it still is but Tenents lager used to be Scotlands best selling drink....yet even those who drink it describe it as ''pishwater''.

Good part of town - I used to live about a mile from this Modern style bar-restaurant .
Real beer lovers have the delightful Thornwood Bar just a few yards away
But liquor is quicker -

Some acquaintances used to buy this for their girlfriends....
I've knew a girl in the past who could drink me under the table. She'd swallow her Vodka and coke before I had a second sip of my pint. Needless to say that relationship didn't last long....far too ruddy expensive!!!
