My thoughts exactly. With people ravaging the trash bins constantly, we aren't even recycling as we could (and should) and I don't exactly see Buenos Aires people spending more for a low emission car / boiler.
I think the goals are admirable and are clearly long term. However the infrastructure is sorely lacking in many areas, not to mention transport with buses and trucks belching out black fumes and a distinct lack of recycling centres.
In the province of BA it's even worse, so this is all extremely long term thinking in a country where economic survival is paramount.
Here in my town the air is thick with smoke every Friday night. So unless the men wish to give up their Friday night male only asados I can't see much changing.
To be serious the lack of concern/paranoia shown here regarding climate change is refreshing to see. Long live the boys Friday night asados!!
