Who will win the US presidential election? 5
Biden (3) 60%
Trump (1) 20%
Don't care (1) 20%
Who will be the winner on Tuesday?
Who will be the winner on Tuesday?
I’m afraid to even guess.
I don't care but Biden looks to be home and dry judging by what's being reported. So I voted for him.
Don't care, but I just hope Trump doesn't win
Then you do care. That’s good, since the whole world will be affected. It amazes me that there are people outside the US who are so naive they don’t get that.
For those who are confused by trump’s pathetic and desperate attempts to get state legislators, governors, and the court system to help him retroactively “win” (overturn) last month’s election, this morning’s NYT summarizes this way:

He is toast then...woohoo
I don’t watch zombie movies
I don't think the electoral college system will ever be changed, in spite of many past candidates having received more of the popular votes but still losing the election.
It is virtually impossible to change that antiquated system, which numerically favors the less populous states.
Here’s what’s happening now, including a map of which electoral votes have been cast, and for whom.
It used to be a formality that probably no one ever noticed, but thanks to the idiot in the WH we know more now than we did before.
That’s right. Until Gore lost the 2020 election to George Bush, despite having won the popular vote, people started paying attention. Then Hillary Clinton won 3million more votes than trump, but he won the electoral college nod. In the future, candidates won’t even bother to campaign in states with few electoral votes, but will concentrate on winnable states that have many.
It is an insane system, basically set up because the voters weren’t considered capable of choosing the president.
And maybe we aren’t. Case in point our current autocratic government.
The electoral college is merely a formality
Oh and Barr has gone, either forced resignation or been sacked
Perhaps Barr found out that pardons are being sold to the high bidders, and decided that even HIS considerable wiggle-out skills couldn’t protect him in court if he turned a blind eye.
What great timing, to choose the Christmas holidays, at this particular juncture, to spend more time with his family!
Nah, he wanted to continue practicing law. Any good lawyer wouldn’t go along with fraudulent behaviour like claiming there was election fraud
Trump may have pardon Barr, but that is still like a millstone around your neck
Ever since he began his trump admin career with the carefully crafted misrepresentation of the Mueller Report before it was released to the public, he made it clear he was more than happy to go along with that fraudulent behavior you referenced, richietog .
History will record that he was the most corrupt Attorney General the US has ever had, making Nixon’s John Mitchell look like a choirboy.
I hate the very concept of the electoral college. It's a hideous idea that I believe flies in the face of democracy.
It does. What does it say about democracy if the people themselves aren’t trusted to choose their own president?
Well if they were to count every single vote because some idiot like Trump claims fraud, it would take more months of legal wrangling, something like Trump wants, just hold onto power for. Even though I'm not a fan of the electoral college, it's just one more bureaucracy that is necessary, but I can't think of a thing to replace it
