I've had to carry out similar rather hairy entrances in the past, but nothing like this.
What seamanship!

Terrific control, in horrendous circumstances!
Desdemona, an unlucky ship that ran aground off Mar de Ajo in 1983 and later off Rio Grande, Tierra de Fuego.
In 1985 she suffered engine failure after departing Comodoro Rivadavia and the captain beached her at Cape San Pablo, Tierra del Fuego, so that she would wreck on the rocky coast.
She has been there ever since.

A hard ship to sink.
Good on him to row the Atlantic with no modern navigation for a worthwhile charity, but as one of his colleagues said, he will need a sense of humour.
HMS Prince of Wales leaves Portsmouth for sea trials ahead of handing over to the Royal Navy. A magnificent vessel.
Magnificent, indeed! Is it really being towed by that tiny tugboat?
Oh yes. They have very big engines!
A nice day out with the girls.
The incredible life and times of Joshua Slocum, the first man to sail around the world, alone.
"You must know the sea and know that you know it. It was meant to be sailed upon."
What an incredibly lonely time that must have been!

You can never be lonely with the sea. I know I wasn't.
Life on a cold war submarine.
My dad did this in the 60s.
How did Lionel Buster Crabb meet his fate?
I have great admiration for people who can handle being on a submarine. I’ve only been on a 2- hour tourist submarine dive to see tropical fish, and I couldn’t shake the claustrophobic feeling. Being in a real, functioning submarine for weeks? Eek!
I had a cousin that served on our nuke subs!!! They were out at sea for months, and until the day he died, would not say one
word about there operations. I do not believe I could have survived, being cooped up in a tin can!!!!
