Nice try, Alberto.
In Jan’s place, I will add Albie’s avatar. 🤡
Ex-president Duhalde descibes Alberto Fernandez as 'grogui' (groggy) like a boxer who has gone too many rounds in the ring.
Great stuff.
Classic. Right on point!
We should get used to saving in pesos and leave dollars for national production.
And pigs might fly.
Yyesterday in a heated TV debate, cabinet chief, Santiago Cafiero made a wonderful Freudian slip.
"We have to promote savings in dollars"
For those who don't realise, Argentina now has one of the strictest exchange controls in the world and the president wants us all to save in toilet paper pesos.
Latest exchange rates at the close
.......
In most countries, after a faux pas like that one, Cafiero would have been quietly garroted.
I take that all the white space is the toilet paper?
And let's not forget one his others:
"Having dollars in your possession isn't a crime."
Really? Or perhaps he meant that it is in fact a crime?

For the Secret Service, a New Question: Who Will Protect Them From Trump?
They don’t need to worry about a silly little virus! Why, if they get it, in a couple of days they’ll feel 20 years younger!
And you can take that to the bank.
"Never argue with stupid people. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.” Mark Twain
That’s a particularly nice quote from the eminently quotable Mr Twain. Thanks!
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups- George Catlin which seems similar to Mark Twain’s quote
George Carlin definitely shared Mark Twain’s love of words and wordplay.

I meant Carlin, not Catlin
"Government officials are queuing up to not say anything about the Ezeiza aeroplane incident."
Perfectly said
QuoteI just asked an ally of a cabinet minister who is in No 10 calling on the PM to go: what would happen if he refuses?
"Then Boris Johnson won't have a cabinet," came the swift reply.
