This looks as if the new plan would mean we’d have to pay additional fees for using our own account when in different locations? Hotels, vacation rentals, etc? That doesn’t make sense.

It's up for the Oscar as the best foreign language film.
We caught it last night on Prime Video ( free sub for three months if you have Claro Internet)
Mrs. GJ thoroughly enjoyed it as it was part of her adolescence.
I thought it was decent but just wondered why it has taken them so long to make such a film.
If fils like this are made to make you think as there are some history points that I want to read up on.

Has anyone watched "Argentina 1985"?
I did and I found it quite bland. It doesn't delves into the history behind the kidnappings by the military. I am not a history buff, so I never did any reading on the subject on my own, but I am told that that it all stemmed from some leftist terrorism attacks and that public universities was a fertile ground for it.
The military reaction by far surpassed the leftist action, but from the movie it seems that the military forces just started to kidnap, torture and kill people in their 20s because they could. I remember UK Man shared his wife was a law student at that time, and interrupted her studies because going to the university had become too dangerous. It also happened to an acquaintance of mine: his parents sent him abroad to study because it was too dangerous to go to the university in Argentina (there was a terrorist attack at his friend's house after a party the night before - all were university students).
Hearing these accounts left me quite puzzled on how there could be a single narrative on these facts.
I don't think it deserves to be up for the Oscars. Darin starred in better movies, it is just one of those subjects that is cool to portray in a certain way now.
I agree. It could and should have been much grittier.
I was living here from March 1976 until I left in November of that year. I was held at gunpoint by Junta thugs on a bus, staff at the British Embassy where my father was naval attaché were kidnapped, our bodyguards were increased and friends of family and acquaintances simply went missing.
Adri knows of many friends who simply disappeared. I really don't think the film was brutal enough.
