This is a quite remarkable story of an Israeli conman who uses his charms to woo women and extract money from them in a quite ruthless manner.
Love is blind, as they say. I found it gripping.

Don’t you wonder why anyone would think a wealthy, jet setting diamond merchant would have to turn to the internet to meet women?

Not at all
he is just timid...
Like me!!!
We’ll of COURSE!!!
Yet another con artist in this remarkable true story of Anna Delvey, aka Anna Sorokin, in love with herself, fame and money. Utterly convinced by her own lies as irrefutable truths, she is shown as the ultimate sociopath, much like our Israeli conman mentioned above. Men fell at her knees and CEOs swooned over her can-do attitude.
I have to admit that it takes a certain kind of genius to pull this off.
Don’t think I want to watch. Too many narcissistic con artists in real life these days.

It's very well made and definitely worth watching. However...
The 2014 revolution in Ukraine is a poignant testimony to the bravery of these Ukrainians who camped out in Maidan Square for almost four months, facing live rounds and snipers.
With what's happening now in the country, it puts the people and what they have had to go through in perspective. This documentary pulls no punches.
Thanks for the tip. Although the news is so unrelentingly focused on Ukraine that it is virtually impossible not to learn about its history and geography, I’d like to know more about the brave people of this country.
Coming soon on Netflix: the world’s national park treasures. Trailer here.
Did the documentary make you feel like swearing off animal products? Or just make you feel like swearing?
No, I just swore a lot.
Just saw this stand up comic piece by Ricky Gervais. Gotta love clever British humor. Much more sharp and wit of the American stand up comics who try to attain a laugh by merely using "forbidden" words.
And Italian stand-up comics?

Some people just can't take a joke anymore can they?
Was that his Supernature show?
I know that Gervais is a craftsman who carefully and intelligently hones his material but I have still never found him funny.
Like him or not, I found this radio programme about his UK TV series "The Office" fascinating.
It's still available to listen to on-line.

When I first saw and heard him I thought he was smartarse, but after watching his steel-tipped barbs at The Golden Globes, I could see how sharp he was and is. His last series about his dead wife was very funny and I've just started watching The Office, UK original version which ticks the boxes. He's not for everybody of course.
The US version of The Office was bloody awful.
We've also just finished The Staircase, a remarkable fly on the wall documentary about Michael Peterson, was accused of murdering his wife who was found bleeding at the bottom of the stairs in their house in Durham, North Carolina in 2001.
It's 11 long episodes but worth sticking with, a tad one-sided from the French documentary maker and is full of twists and turns. It's non-fiction reality TV.
Jaw droppingly disturbing.
