The Prosecutor, The President And The Spy - the Alberto Nisman documentary.
We watched the first episode last night and it goes into an enormous amount of detail right back to the AMIA bombing of 1994 and before, with some very detailed research having taken place.
Most of us don't need a documentary to show us that Nisman was murdered as opposed to killing himself, but it is a very tangled web and I'm hoping that by the end we may have an idea about who was actually responsible for his death. CFK or Iran?
We've been trying to watch it for over a week. Inevitably, either of us falls asleep after 20'. A lot of dejavú from the many Italo-american movies. Bo-oh-ring.
And Deniro, imho, lost his his acting with all those crappy movies he had to make in-between classics.
Yup, similar for me.
It doesn't help for me that I am generally cold on the gangster genre and Scorcese's gangster movies are the movies from him I value the least.
That said, everything about the Irishman was fine but certainly not the grand masterpiece it had been sold as. I was not bored by it but was largely uninterested. I also hated the CGI although tolerated because it was clearly neccesary for the story.
We'll be watching the last episode of the Nisman doc tonight and, although I now know much more of the background, sometimes even with jaw-dropping moments, I'll be glad when it's over.
It's rather ghoulish, although superbly made, yet still hasn't confirmed things in my mind one way or another.

Yes , if anything it has given me more questions to ask myself.
Well made documentary and seemed to explain all viewpoints fairly.
Marriage Story. A story of divorce, really, and how painful it is. Excellent acting by Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver.
I'm glad we've finished the Nisman documentary, excellent though it was, I'm left with more questions over the AMIA bombing investigation than Nisman's murder. Sadly, we may never know the truth on either count.
We've just started Messiah, which has biblical similarities with the main character bearing a striking resemblance to what Jesus Chirst may have looked like.
Intriguing, tightly directed, well scripted and believable in a modern age. I certainly hope they make a second season, as the similarities between the Messiah character and the biblical story are striking: peaceful stranger who appears from nowhere and influences the masses with simply words but is seen as a threat to established law and order.

We are halfway the last episode, and I have to say that if when it started I was 100% convinced he was murdered, I am now on the fence.
I think they have tampered with the evidence, so everybody draws conclusions based on Nisman's personality, character, occupation and investigations.
Yip , we also have doubts .
But i still think he was murdered
I still wouldn't trust Lagomarsino with my mother in law....
Good documentary / well made / and is quite balanced
My husband swears that Lagomarsino is too dumb to be the smart ass murderer who would kill Nisman and leave the murder scene without a trace.
I am actually adamant that Nisman's mother is withholding something. The audio from her 911 call is unbelievable. You walk into your son's apartment because his bodyguards haven't communicated with him for 11 hours, you find him in a blood bath, and you are that calm?!
And why didn't the bodyguards called?
And why they waited 11 hours to make contact with him? Why didn't they enter the apartment instead of calling the mother the next day? It sounds like a joke...
Last night we watched Vivir Dos Veces, which was at times funny, endearing and difficult. We were definitely glad we’d seen it.

We have watched this one - two episodes a night for the last three nights .
We are enjoying it , although maybe a little slow.
Another two nights to go....
I watched this movie today, and I liked it. Not a masterpiece, but I could identify with some of the reasoning going on between the couple (Diane Keaton and Morgan Freeman).
Late responding to this, serafina . It’s hard not to like Diane Keaton in any role, but the formulaic plot, predictable ending and complete lack of chemistry between her and Morgan Freeman made it really difficult for me to lose myself in this one.
We binge watched Giri/Haji (Duty/Shame) this week. It’s a British production that takes part in both England and Japan, and it is completely mesmerizing. Excellent photography and use of split screens as well. Highly recommend.
edit: hated the ending, though -

STRANGER

We really enjoyed it.
We finished it last night and it's one of the better British series I've watched in some time. I won't spoil it, but it does keep you guessing right to the very end.
There is, however, a major plot hole at the end.
We binge watched Stranger last month, and were spellbound. Didn’t realize it was based on a Harlan Coben book - not one of my favorite authors - until well into it. Was surprised at how good it was.
So we are now taking the plunge with another of his series, called SAFE. Has anyone else seen it?

I was also thinking to watch the stranger, but I have postponed the idea. But now after checking your review, I definitely gonna give it a try.
The Stranger won’t disappoint. “Safe,” on the other hand, doesn’t live up to it.
I've just started watching Breaking Bad again and am reminded how clever, dark and funny it is. Jesse Pinkman just creases me up, yo beatch!
