Parents who have been spending 22 years caring for their severely impaired only child ask to euthanize him

    A mother of a boy born with cerebral palsy and persistent convulsion is asking to euthanize his only child.

    The woman and her husband, who is the father to the boy, have spent the last 22 years at home to take care of him. They cannot leave the house and they cannot go out with him, either. They are old and worried about the quality of life and the future of their child once they will pass.


    I am wondering if he can't be medicated and institutionalized. Euthanasia seems a little too brutal.
