Fabián Gutiérrez, ex-secretary to Cristina Kirchner has disappeared from his house, where blood stains have now been found, according to the police. Four men have also been detained in relation to the disappearance.

What stands out here is the fact that Gutierrez had turned state witness in the notebook scandal and was therefore in a position to talk, apparently.

His suspiciously acquired wealth speaks for itself. He became close to the Kirchners in 2005 as a messenger and rose through the ranks right up to the Casa Rosada as CFK's secretary, having accumulated 36 houses, about 30-odd luxury cars and boats, numerous businesses, millions in cash and construction firms.

The fact that he was talking or about to talk, should raise suspicions and alarm bells, not to mention the spectre of Alberto Nisman, murdered for similar reasons.

    EDIT

He has now been found dead.

Could be the basis of a plot for another novel?

Could never be presented to a European publisher ....too far fetched they would allege.

    True that.

This will probably be forgotten or buried over the next few days.

There are many different kinds of “crimes of passion,” a category generally not including what happened here. How does she keep getting away with these heinous acts?

Looks like one of the boys involved had an affair with CFKs ex secretary . Tried to blackmail him and ended up killing him.

The guys involved are sons of important people in El Calafate - the mots important public notary and local politicians.

    There is certainly a stench.........

The fiscal handling the case is none other than Alicia Kirchner's daughter, ergo, niece of CFK.

This has to be yet another cover up and I would definitely say that a sinister hand is behind this.

It seems like ‘way too convenient that the man’s ex-lover committed a crime passionel at this exact time. But Cristina’s niece will make that seem normal and logical.

Concerns have been raised about the family connection so I doubt she'll be in charge. Anything's possible here right enough.

Nisman - make it look like suicide but don't forget to only use one bullet.

Gutierrez - make it look like a bungled robbery and then throw in crime of passion just to mix things up a bit.

In any normal country they would .

Watch out for the fiscal - CFK's niece....

Watch out for the defence lawyer - My client was tortured by the victim - He told him him he loved him but would not give him any of the cash that CFK have to him after robbing it from the people .

Watch out for a load of bull to come from all sides....

The government has now gone into full denial mode with the President saying it's scandalous to say it was a political murder and the cabinet chief saying the idea of the government being involved is repulsive.

    So was Nisman's murder.

You do have to agree that “The idea of the government being involved is repulsive.”

It is completely repulsive. Revolting. Despicable. And very probably true.

Looks like another sensationalised story that's going to disappear. It'll no doubt pop up now and again when news is thin on the ground.
