Forum members who watch international news channels will undoubtedly have noticed the proliferation of beards (the good, the bad, and, mostly, the ugly) on male reporters during the past few months.
What gives? This seems to be the opposite of the traditional situation, when guys try out growing a beard when on vacation so no one will see them in case the result is diabolical, unflattering, or comical. Instead, now all of us around the world are subjected to watching, day after day, millimeter by millimeter, as reporters demonstrate that they are capable of growing hair from their faces, with greatly varying results.
