Was watching National Geographic some times ago, about the arrivals of blacks to South America.
The whole story I was never aware of, exept of the slavery part.
The European settlers brought very contagious diseases to South America, which the European had already got immune to, but that killed a major part of the indigenous population. That was one of the main reasons why South American countries needed to import new people to use as slaves.
