I’m shocked as well. Good thing they aren’t running shoes.

From The New Yorker’s Lexicon for a Pandemic, a few that stand out:
Maskhole - someone who wears a mask in a way that makes it completely ineffective, e.g. below the nose, under the chin, on the back of the head.I was a bit of a Maskhole yesterday when the wife and I went for a walk around town. It was so warm and claustrophobic with the mask on I had to pull it down when noone was about to get some fresh air. Even my wife had to do it.

UK Man , glad you noticed the lexicon and are putting it to good use.
Wearing the mask does take some getting used to. When we were in the city, I grew accustomed to it and at some point it quit bothering me. But after 7 weeks out in the woods, when I had to wear one to a doctor appointment, I felt I was suffocating. Just not used to it now. But grateful for it! -

I reckon when the hot weather arrives more people will start to rebel. Even yesteday when it was warm not hot I noticed more people on the street without a mask on.

It was full summer when we left the city. Here we are 1500 km north, so the temperature is more bearable. There’s no denying that it’s more uncomfortable in hot weather.
But consider the alternative. -

But consider the alternative. The ones I have are pretty thick. I shall get a much thinner/lighter one for the hot weather.

Apparently you need at least 2 layers of 100% cotton. If you can find one with an inner layer of electrostatic fabric (I can’t find any), that is supposed to really boost the protection.
At least that’s the theory today. With luck the body of knowledge will continue to evolve. -

Thin and cheap will be fine as long as you’re not close to any coronavirus particles!

My favourite tartan. I'm thinking of getting some wallpaper like that to give our entrance hall a Scottish look. Could have a wee bar in it with a tips tray strategically placed close to the exit.

Tips tray? Clearly not a typical Scottish attitude......
Too long in Argentina!!

This video includes a new entry in the mask design contest, from the heat-packing USA.

??? What did I miss?

Clueless! I posted that 3 months ago. Three months of Covid Blursdays might the equivalent of three years in normal times.
I’m sure it was flattering, though. Maybe Jan remembers?

That one is no longer available.

I wasn't sure where to put this.
A racist drunk gets knocked out cold after taunting a group of black youths on the London underground. Well deserved in my opinion.
