Did you know that we already pay 29% tax on Netflix, which is 21% VAT and the reduced 8% foreign purchase tax. Either way we're paying AR$369, but there is now a tax grab from INCAA for an extra 10% because cinemas are all closed. They want to rush this through apparently, but there's no indication of who will pay the tax, which probably will be the customers as usual.
New Netflix tax?

The fact that the cinemas are closed justifies a new tax on Netflix? There must be something I’m not getting.

That in Argentina we're all mama's boys. We will get money from the government, the government will take care of us.
Who will pay for all that? Someone else (maybe you, but they won't let you see that)
It's like a hot potato that get passed from hand to hand. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
One in four workers in Argentina works for the public administration.

Yeah! Argentina has close to 45 millions inhabitants, and only 12 millions work, according to that article I linked (13.5 according to INDEC). Which means that 26% of the people are sustaining the whole country. Scary...
This 26% includes a 9% of unemployed people, so the actual burden is higher.

Not even true...... because out of the 12 million working , only a part work in private sector, generating USD for the Argentinian people!!!! Look around and ask yourself with what currency the products in ur life is bought with...... not with pesos!!! Even local products as meat, apples or simple products are produced with equipment coming from abroad..... bought in USD!!!!!

We end up with 15% supporting the whole system if we’re lucky
