I don't like the whole Woman's drink thing because if I like something, I drink it. I like a Gancia with ice, Sprite and orange juice and I think the gender stuff is a bit 1970s. However, in what measurement is Fernet considered a woman's drink?

I'm only pulling Jans leg. Gancia/Martini became popular in the 70's after the Spanish package holiday market took off. My sister for one adopted it as her drink of choice after spending a couple of weeks in Tossa de Mar. Until then you would never have seen a Glaswegian drinking it probably because it wasn't available to buy. In fact the Glasgow pub scene back then was very male customer orientated anyway.
I have always been partial to Sherry however I've never ordered one in a Glasgow pub. I would now.

A top German doctor recommends whiskey to protect against COVID-19

Good thought. a very welcome one, in fact. but there’s always the BUT -
"Yes, of course, that's true," Dr. Rissland responded. "And the higher the percentage of alcohol, the better it is. For example, if you are a whisky lover, then that certainly isn't a bad idea," he continued, while offering this bit of sage advice to pace yourself: "But of course you need to bear in mind that you can't do that every 15 minutes, that is something else to consider."Buzzkill.

OK, I’ve been defending the World Health Organization, but this is the last straw!
Today the WHO announced that drinking alcohol makes one more likely to contract covid-19, and makes the disease worse.
In this era of Alternative Facts and choosing what reality we prefer to accept, I am declaring to reject this and believe my own alternative facts.
(By the way, in the month of March, anxiety drug prescriptions increased by 34% and alcohol sales increased by 52% in the US.) -

its old news......every alcohol intake reduce your immune system.
Also the old believe that antibiotics get neutralized with alcohol is not true......only thing alcohol do or can do, is reducing your immune system.....there is a few antibiotics u should not combine with alcohol, but majority is fully safe.
You could also argue sitting near a window enhance risk of coronavirus....because u could get a cold from the wind......
Or not drying your hair after showering or or or......
All bullllllsheeeeet

Thank God! @JAN has come to the rescue!

South Africa must have a hotline to the WHO in that case, since they banned the sale of booze.

Panama as well apparently . My mate who lives there says that the grey market is alive and well . He almost ran out of wine but got a couple of sample cases from a nice wholesaler.
