Looking back to which phones we were using in 2015, Jim Hillier wrote an interesting article where the authors at DCT described their mobile phone experiences.

In 2015 I was using a Galaxy S3, which at the time was the bees knees. How things have changed in only five years as I now use a Galaxy Note 8, which today is well out of date.

I'd been using a Windows Lumia phone for years as the camera is super. However as it no longer supports WhatsApp I accepted the wife's Samsung Galaxy after she upgraded. Don't like it but hardly use it anyway.

I’ve been using Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus since it came out about 3 years ago. No complaints about the phone, and I like the larger size.

One of the wife's friends since childhood is a heart specialist....a tad eccentric but a hell of a nice chap. Despite his job title he's just a big kid at heart. When he returned from the US on holiday he wouldn't shut up about the new iPhone he purchased when he was there. ^^

I think the Galaxy S3 was already quite old by 2015, in fact the S6 (the first metal phone from Samsung) with its then radical curved display was available.

I have a Galaxy S10 but will likely soon move to the Note 10 simply because I like the design more. With either, I won't see the need to upgrade for a few years.

Looking back to 2015, I had the HTC One. That was an excellent phone and really nice looking too. I moved to the Galaxy S6 and then a couple of iPhones in-between then an now.

With Apple now scanning for child abuse photos both on your phone and in iCloud, here's how you can prevent that.

The child abusers and child pornographers will all opt out. So what’s the point of Apple’s deciding to be Big Brother?

I've got an iPhone 6s plus. I plan to upgrade either next year or in two years time

I was wondering why my iCloud was giving me a warning about the lack of space on my account, I haven't nor intend to use more space with their subscription, so I turned it off years ago. No problems anymore. Not that I'm doing anything dodgy by the way

Until recently, we traveled fairly constantly for business. That “Guy on the Train?” He always sat right behind me on planes. Yammered until takeoff, then again as soon as the wheels touched down. Silent texting is a beautiful thing.

It doesn't look like 5G is coming to Argentina for quite a while, at least not on a widespread basis, so I'm hanging onto my Note 20 Ultra until it does.

The first mobile phones were not only big, they were HEAVY. It took a few years for batteries to shrink in size and weight.
