It looks terrific! And the new flooring, lighter color, and fireplace replacement make the room feel much bigger!

That’s a question I’d be asking of the neighbors about right now.

That's a horrible looking house to be fair, but to each their own.
The design is shaping up to match the plans, right?

The 'optical illusion' style is popular in Argentina at the mo.

I have to say the new version is an improvement. However I see it still has some of that awful colour of paint. .

It's alright however to me the arch or whatever they call it, serves no purpose at all and is just a frill. Many new builds here also have it so it seems to be a fashion at the mo. Bit of a carry on having to change a bulb!!

That's true and I'm reminded of what the neighbours said to us when they told us about the work two years ago:
"We're just making some changes to the roof..."

It IS a bit strange.

That’s IT? The finished product?

Yes, that's it.
A far cry from two years ago when they said "Oh, we're moving out for six months to make some changes to the roof."
However, I must qualify all this by mentioning that our neighbour was pregnant shortly after telling us this and tragically there was a gross error by the anaesthetist during the birth and the baby girl was born with severe disabilities as a result, including epilepsy and the need to be fed with a tube.
Subsequently, they had to modify the design of the house to accommodate her needs.

What’s with that picture frame effect around the house? Reminds me of the false fronts on buildings on movie sets of Wild West towns with stage coaches rolling through the dusty street.
