A French supermarket priced their TVs at €40 instead of €400 and people were queuing up with up to four TVs each, but the supermarket wouldn't honour the price, causing mayhem at the tills.
Eventually the police were called, but customers left rather disappointed. Imagine that happening here, it would be like WW3!

I once booked two Alitalia one way Business Class ticket from Stockholm to Ezeiza via Rome for £160. Several months later we used them no problem at all.
Once you’ve paid, it would be hard for them to try to wring more money out of you.
Indeed...however many airlines do cancel obvious mistake fares or offer you a seat in the back row of economy next to the toilets instead.
Sometimes US airlines have major screwups and have an absurdly low online price for a particular flight or date. While they immediately yank the price as soon as they realize the mistake, they always have to honor the price for those who have already purchased tickets, and they can’t punish the lucky buyers by seating them in purgatory.
