Serafina's home country, I believe.
Haven't a clue but seen as you asked I assume it will be Argentina?
Italy
I think Spain is number two
Italy. Correcto!
But our wonderful, inky Malbec is better!
Some interesting numbers here.....
Vatican City could be because wine is drunk at every mass. By the priest only, though!
Probably the Pope himself....
Will try and see how much malbec is involved in the total....
The USA, the UK and Argentina didn’t even make the top 20. How embarrassing.
It is clear that Argentina will never make the list: when we have a 6-hour party with 30 people, we cut through many gallons of Coca-Cola, but only 15-20 bottles of wine.
The UK? I don’t know what you need to do in order to take your place among such esteemed company.
The US? I’m afraid we won’t make the grade unless the list makes a state-by-state breakdown, in which case Louisiana should be #1. Watch out, Andorra!

I drink less wine in Argentina because it is stronger, less to my taste, and wine in hot weather makes you sweat!
I am also a white wine person and whites here are disappointing, at least those in my price range.

It’s true that red wine makes you warmer, but I do love it all year. A really good Cabernet Franc or Malbec is still good in hot weather, slightly cooled.

We were at a birthday bash last night for a long time friend of the missus. He's a well known heart specialist in the area so a few other doctors were in attendance, Your observation about the ratio of wine to Coke/Sprite drunk is spot on. The number of emptied soft drink bottles on the tables outnumbered the bottles of wine by 3-1. In Glasgow it would have been the other way about.
When I lived in Spain , i had a few doctors at my parties at home.
None of them ever left the house sober.
And we only had empty bottles of coke , if the kids were there....
No question of kids, here! But unlike your friends in Spain, don’t you find that Argentines don’t drink very much? Where did THAT tradition come from?
Yes , I find it hard to understand.
It's not a health thing as they all drinky coke and other sodas with loads of sugar.
Very different from Uruguay where they all enjoy a wee drink with their food .
In MVD it was fairly common to see people have lunch with a bottle of whisky on the table.
This changed when the zero tolerance drink and driving rules were brought in a couple of years ago
I can still remember the last time I over indulged, drinking wine, with an Army buddy!!!!! The hangover was terrible!!!!

It's been solved since the invention of Coca Cero... and until they find out what's harmful in Coca Cero
loads of cancerogenous stuff in sugar substitutes......
... thus better to stick with wine.
