Temporary Residence Application

    Hi Rosamundi,

    which is detailed and straightforward.

    I suppose you are not from a Mercosur country. You need to provide:

    1) Your foreign ID

    2) Your foreign criminal record

    3) Your Argentinian Criminal Record

    4) Proof of pension - duration and amount

    5) Proof of domicile in Argentina or one utility bill in your name (in Argentina)

    6) Stamp of entry on your foreign passport

    The application is entirely digital and should be started by uploading your documents on the RaDEX portal.

    Once your application is being processed, you'll be called to Migraciones to submit everything in original.

    Remember to follow the legalization and translation requirements outlined in the first link.

    The cost of the visa is 6,000 ARS and these should be paid within 24 hours since uploading your documents on the portal.


    Tip: if you can get any foreign record in Spanish, it will spare you the translation from English to Spanish.

    Once you have uploaded the documents and paid the 6000 pesos do you know are you deemed to be legal from that moment in Argentina?

    How long do you have to be visiting/staying in Argentina before you need to apply for ''temporary residence''? Seems a bit of a faff to have to go through all that if you're not planning on staying that long.
