There are only a couple of flights a week to Mount Pleasant....So that's why it costs so much

The RAF used to sell seats on their weekly flight from Brize Norton . Not sure if they still do . One of my mates who worked fro Ve;;s Whisky used to do a sales tour once a year.

Bells at the time was no 1 brand in the UK - . They never sold a lot but they got great PR coverage !

I used to fancy going there but not any more. Would rather spend the time and money going to Scotland.

I can understand that but until better and cheaper air links are established I couldn't be arsed. Not exactly cheap once you're there either I believe.

In that respect the Argentines invasion probably done them a favour. There is now a large military presence in the islands so I imagine things have improved all round for the inhabitants....they've probably never had it so good.
