I have always been curious to visit the Falklands, they seem like Scotland, minus castles, and a lot closer.
I am in!

Good grief! Do these ticket prices include a pair of sheep thrown in, gratis?
On second thought, please don’t answer that - -

Check these flights out. Doesn't make any sense at all.

the prices I mentioned were for the direct flight from Cordoba
There are only a couple of flights a week to Mount Pleasant....So that's why it costs so much
The RAF used to sell seats on their weekly flight from Brize Norton . Not sure if they still do . One of my mates who worked fro Ve;;s Whisky used to do a sales tour once a year.

Bells at the time was no 1 brand in the UK - . They never sold a lot but they got great PR coverage !

I used to fancy going there but not any more. Would rather spend the time and money going to Scotland.

For the same price, I'd do as well!

I'd find it a fascinating visit and knowing that we're in the same quadrant so to speak, I'd choose the Falklands over any other destination in this area right now.
Living in Argentina, knowing the history, having met veterans from both sides and having seen and read so much in popular culture. For me, it's a no brainer.

I can understand that but until better and cheaper air links are established I couldn't be arsed. Not exactly cheap once you're there either I believe.

I'd be curious to see if they have the same standard of living as in the UK, with first world products and services.

In that respect the Argentines invasion probably done them a favour. There is now a large military presence in the islands so I imagine things have improved all round for the inhabitants....they've probably never had it so good.
