This very pleasant Italian lady, Diletta Leotta, was the subject of Naples football fans shouting suggestive comments at her as he was reporting on the match against Brescia.

She apparently took it in good stead and gave them the thumbs down, rather than the middle finger as she left the stadium. Perhaps the thumbs down in Italy has a stronger meaning, I don't know.

Might be my most unpopular comment ever:

When you catwalk around a soccer stadium in front of hooligans, what do you expect?

    I second serafina .......

If there is something that really bores me here in Argentina, it's the constant tits and ass stuff.......it's just so vulgar and primitive, sorry!!!!

The amount of airheads here is impressive......showing all what u got, then afterwards complaining about sexist comments and and and.....beyond brain-dead!

So as serafina said......maybe to show up like this to a football game in Italy is about same level of stupidity....

I agree, but from what I can tell, she wasn't really moaning about the tits out demands from the fans and when she gave the thumbs down gesture, she was smiling anyway.

The point I'm trying to make is that the press crawl all over it, fuelling the so-called anti-sexist comments brigade - social justice warriors to you and me - who pile on their indignance.

The fact that she takes it all lightly seems to be lost in the noise.

We live about 7Km from the River Plate football stadium which is between Lugones and Libertador, and every time there's a big match we can hear the fireworks, which even from 7Kms sound like thunder in the near distance. It's an incredible noise really and imagine how loud it must be in the stadium itself.

I'm not a big football fan, but I do know of the fanaticism, but I didn't realise to what extent. This video gives you some idea.

Scotland beat San Marino 6-0 in the European Cup qualifiers.

Check out the San Marino goalkeeper in the last goal.

Now if they could only do that against the likes of Brasil/Germany/England etc. :/

Looked like two amateur teams playing against each other.

Estudiantes open their refurbished stadium with a giant lion hologram. This is a must see!

    This is magnificent! I wanted to read about it, and saw this in the Telegraph;

“When the lion jumps onto the pitch patches of turf erupt into 'flames' where the lion's feet touch the grass.

Moments later the lion rears up onto its hind legs, swings its claws and gives one final roar before it is engulfed in flames and disappears as beams of light dissipate in the air.”

Edit: just found the ending footage on YouTube!

Messi smacked an opponent (Villalibre - Bilbao) who used his body to block him, entirely off the ball and the Bilbao player threw himself to the ground writing in fake agony like a little girl.

    Deserved in my opinion.
