I like a speaker who's a character, which reminds me of George Thomas - Lord Tonypandy trying to control exchanges between Thatcher and Kinnock.
Not forgetting Dennis Skinner, who was politely asked to leave the chamber for calling Cameron, 'dodgy Dave.'

Also, while on the subject of UK politics - this is a screenshot of a WaPo report on the last couple days. This lady was speaking very coherently and calmly about the issues at hand.
Can I mention that the juxtaposition of that calm discourse to the sign she’s holding is absolutely magnificent?

Many Conservatives feel that he leaned too much to the left in later days, but they would say that wouldn't they, especially the anti-EU members.
A memorable speaker at least attracts people to watch the goings on in the House of Commons. Does anyone remember Betty Boothroyd, Michael Martin or Bernard Weatherill?
John Bercow, along with George Thomas (later, Viscount Tonypandy) have/had charisma. Bercow will likely get a peerage, unless Boris takes umbrage.
