We eat spag bol but I much prefer lasagne. Don't seem to get the pasta sheets here for making it here though.

I'm a culinary peasant, so am quite happy to make the sauce with anything available.
Then, just throw it on the spag.

So am I when it comes to pasta. Which it has to be said I'm not that keen on. It's the mince that makes it eatable for me....I wouldn't eat pasta otherwise.

yesterday in coto, I saw a new type of snack on the shelves, just a normal traditional papa frita..... industrial bagged 100 grams bags.....took a few of them, but by the cashier I realized my absolute stupidity and ignorance......I had just put the 100 gram industrial filled bag in to my trolley, just like I would do with other papa frita........
"U need to weigh it at the vegetables counter"
I say, it's stated on the bag it's 100 gr......why would I need to weigh it? U want me to measure the milk also?
No wonder that Argentina is a fucked up country......these endless stupidities costing trillions in added costs....(not just this one, but all brain-dead time consuming and business destroying measurements).

I'm still amazed why Coto hasn't moved with the times and installed weighing devices at the checkouts like most serious supermarkets.
How may times have you all forgotten to weigh something and you have to go all the way back, annoying the queue behind you?

-
More times than I care to admit.

I mentioned that our local supermarket, Coto, is closing down. Well, it is on Monday and we just happened to pop in for Doritos and found that everything is 40% off till they close.
We filled a trolley!

In your shoes, all the way home, I’d be thinking of all the things that slipped my mind while there, and id be going back for another trolley load tomorrow, if not tonight. Or both.
Your own personal way of reversing this year’s inflation!

We were in there for an hour yesterday evening and apparently they closed at 9pm but the queues were so long (the length of the building) that they didn't finish cashing up until midnight.
We went back early this morning and things were running out fast and we loaded as much as we could because 40% is a hell of a saving. Everything was orderly with people quietly filling two or three trolleys each.
We bought 2 Jamesons and a Ballantines for around $2000 each. When we left, the queues were just getting bigger as word spread around, so it was a successful mission!
