German words to improve your day

Thanks to Mark Twain, we can appreciate the befuddling complexity of the “Awful German Language.” But there certainly are German words that perfectly capture that certain something we seem to lack in English. Just try Quatschen and Besserwisser, and see if your day doesn’t seem brighter.

My personal favorite is Backpfeifengesicht, so wipe that smirk off your face!

Gemutlichkeit is another word used in Austria, with a very special sense of comfort, protection, pleasure, etc. but there is no equivalent at least in Spanish.

I like a lot of the passive aggressive insults.....the ones that are to kind to be taken serious......Beckenrandschwimmer, Pappnase, Hafensinger, nutten Preller......

But I'm sure u have lot like that in any language....

this would be HYGGE in Danish.....this word have become very well known last year even here and in Spanish.....

It's referring to same as gemütlichkeit.....a cozyness, warm, home feeling....

I have a treat for those who like languages in general and the convoluted complex words and structure of German in particular.
