UK Man , maybe all that time and effort could be put to better us in distilling homemade moonshine liquor or bathtub gin?

    Now you're talking. ^^

Not really much of a drinker of spirits to be honest although I wouldn't mind having a go at brewing beer just for the fun of it.

I did grow tobacco a couple of years ago after getting some seed from a mate which was a success however it was a strange burley variety and tasted horrible. Thinking about growing Virginia this year if I can get seed. I can make some pipe tobacco with that.

Growing your own pipe tobacco sounds like an interesting project, UK Man. If you decide to start your own micro-mini-microbrewery, we can have a contest to name the label....

Did a test yesterday......in one of my just eaten yougurt glasses, I filled with milk and placed on kitchen table, in my 18c ambiente......24 hours later I had a pot of yougurt!!!!! That was easy!!!!! No heating , no adding anything, no cleaning no nothing!!!!! Gonna try the same with my empty beer bottle tonight :D

See, told you it was simpler than some people - especially those on YouTube make it out to be.

If the beer doesn't make itself for you tonight, @JAN, then I hope one of Santa's helpers or the Shoemaker's elves comes by and brings you a full bottle!

Here's a picture of my second batch of yoghurt. I used a different starter, left out the dried milk and incubated it differently. Much better taste.

Pretty! How is the consistency? Thick enough to eat with a spoon?

That picture was before I strained the whey off Rice. Underneath it was all one 'curd' and of thick enough consistency to eat with a spoon....the same way my wife's shop bought natural yoghurt comes in the jar. I don't like it that way as it's watery so I sat it in cheesecloth for an hour and this is what it ended up like.
