Fantastic counter attacks.
And not forgetting the greatest try ever scored.
The Barbarians vs The All Blacks in 1973.
Not forgetting Jonah Lomu of course.
This will get you on the edge of your seat right till the last second.
should be merged with the thread "supermarkets and shopping"
We wuz robbed......
For real?
For real?
Very real. I think it may have been in Helensburgh near the Gare Loch and I'm pretty sure we won, as usual.
Looks bloody offside to me.......
The Pumas rugby team captain, Pablo Matera and two other team members have been sacked from the side for racist Tweets and other comments going back to 2011.
I'm pretty broad minded and am capable of recognising satire, but these privileged men went way over the line with their comments about mucamas (domestic staff), blacks, jews and others.
A severe blow for the team that beat the All Blacks not two weeks ago, but also some are saying that the revelation of these Tweets is in return for their total lack of enthusiasm in paying tribute to Maradona.
Sheesh. I am far from being for the current woke movement and cancel culture, but these comments were too much. It is easy to say "you cannot say that these days" but these tweets would be out of line in an era. Idiots.
Another young man has been beaten up by club rugby players, in Cordoba this time.
They really do think they are a law unto themselves and I hope they get the book thrown at them
I just don’t understand why fan violence is so accepted. Can anyone explain?

Is this only an Argie thing? - there's probably 5 or 6 very serious cases reported a year - So I would imagine there are quite a few that are not reported.
Can't recall any similar stuff in Scotland.

Only if you're a loud mouthed prat....which is fair game.
I played for several rugby clubs back in the UK and never once did I come across this kind of brutal behaviour. If it did happen, the bullies would have been taken care of by the rest of the club.
Rugby players are generally considered to be about fair play.
Ireland beat the All Blacks in an amazing game of rugby on Saturday. I bet Dublin was was hell of a party that night!
My bet is that this is Fiji.
