When I’m feeling frustrated by the US’s archaic Electoral College, I look across the Atlantic at how the Prime Minister is chosen - by 0.5% of the people - are you kidding me?
I don’t like letting my mind go there, but am thinking what the world will be like, with Boris and his older twin running the Anglo-American alliance while spinning their lies to adversaries and allies who have learned not to believe or trust them.

Ikea sells pretty cheap furniture but I think this photoshop job is slightly exaggerating.
Ikea are starting a joint venture with Falabella in Chile shortly but unlikely to do anything here because of the operating costs.
I feel thick as a plank, GlasgowJohn ! Thanks for breaking down the whole thing. I didn't recognize Boris from the back, and I didn't know what his girlfriend looked like. Of course I know about the police being called about their domestic argument (which pales in comparison with the rape accusation the same week, of our own fearless leader).
I also loved that play on Ikea's prices. Their stuff is crap, but so is a lot of furniture sold in BsAs, not at Ikea prices. I'd love to have some Ikea furniture for our balcony, but the only cheap option seems to be the plastic chairs that break if you look at them hard.
It looks highly likely that Boris Johnson will be the next PM of Great Britain, mainly because there was no one else available of a marketable quality.

I’m not particularly concerned about the democracy angle. There will be an election soon enough. Actually, possibly not soon enough, but still.

He was asked about it in an interview and refused to address the timing under persistent questioning. He basically all but admitted it.
