This week, we are in Mississippi, a place whose normal January temperature is very similar to that of Buenos Aires in July. But temperatures on the ground this week have hovered around -12 C. We filled the birdbath in the guest house where we are staying, with hot water which was frozen solid within the hour.

Falling big hailstones in Cordoba is very frequent. These storms appear after 3 or 4 days with the warmest temperatures. Suddenly, very dark clouds appear in the South west and fall in a merciless way on ceramic tiles and cars.
The good new is that after this, all rivers are plenty of transparent water, and they throw away all the rubbish,
Nature recovers its splendor!

This must be a great consolation to those whose heads are bloodied and windscreens are smashed by the barrage of hail!

Yes, but people are warned about this. When they see the dark clouds, like caverns of water, coming from the South west, they took refuge under a roof or a tree. That is also the reason why many of the new houses have metal sheets roof, abandoning the ol, traditional ceramic tiles like those you see in the Mission Style of California.
Also car drivers know this and goes inmediately under a tree to prevent damage.
Also the rivers became in a few minutes gorwing its stream, because it rained before in their sources (The high mountains). Many people who stays peacefully at the side of the rivers, having an asado or a drink, do not know these omuntain suprises. And sometimes the stream draws away, cars and personal belongings.

Crown Royal! A Mardi Gras favorite, and this happens to be the final weekend of Mardi Gras season in New Orleans, with the biggest parades (over a thousand riders in each of the super krewes) rolling despite predicted filthy wet weather.
The parade riders will be bracing against the rain with their Crown Royal while you're bracing against the snow. North American solidarity!

I spent 10 days in Italy with continuous rainfall and snowfall. I will try to send the storm to the Southern Hemisphere, most exactly to 34 degrees South, 67 west of Greenwich. My trip was ruined for this. However, I saw interesting things as well, protected by an umbrella.

I hope your camera was protected from the rain, and you will post photos. More than that, I'm eager to hear of your adventures!

Let's hope the rain clouds don't evaporate on their way to us.
