We used to deride Bob Monkhouse for being just another game show host when I was younger. But in fact, Bob was a very clever comedian who knew a thing or two about comedy.

Here he is in a room of invited guests, mainly stand-ups themselves, giving his very last performance in 2003.

    Timing.

Enjoyed his comedy and his wisdom: “When in doubt, wait. {pause}. And then wait some more.”

I don't know who some of these people are in his impersonations, but his Jason Statham is spot on.

Unfortunately you wouldn't get away this now, but notice how everyone takes in good humour because they know he does too. Many people regret not having been roasted by Don Rickles, myself included. Man, he was sharp!
