Easy to imagine how that “linguist” was given the honor of translating into English.
Boss: “Who knows how to speak English?”
Worker: I speak English, Boss.” (And you’re clueless, you SOB who pays me 2 yuans/hour. I’ll be in another worthless job by the time my translation comes back to smack you in the face and get you fired!)
