Looks interesting.....I should read it.
When I was a boy my grandmother used to often tell me about her Uncle Tam the engineer from Coatbridge who ''built the railways in Argentina''. I had this vision of him with a pick and shovel in his hand.
I often wonder if my grandmother's stories had any influence on my future.

Gosh, I've only just noticed this. If it weren't so expensive, I'd leap at the chance of buying it. Looks fascinating, especially as source material should I ever write a sequel.

Looking at the books Mr. Rock has published, I'd have trouble selecting only one. I wonder how he initially became interested in British-Argentine history, and in Argentina in general.
